Welcome Jo
Jo has been working with me since the end of August, primarily on the work we do for AOL. I’m hoping though that we’ll find the time to get her to write some features for the miggle site and for this blog, as well as her own profile page, so watch this space!
Cosmofil
During August we picked up a new client, Cosmofil, a travel business focussing on cultural exchanges. The plan is that we’ll work with Cosmofil to help build their business online. The first step as part of this was to look a site redesign - something which would provide more flexibility and allow us to add to more quickly than their existing static HTML site.
Initially the plan was to build the site in Joomla, but after an extensive review we felt it wasn’t going to offer us the flexibility we needed, even though Joomla has some really great features. Instead, we’ve built it on our own evolving PHP/MySQL based CMS. There’ll be more on this, and on the Cosmofil site, in next month’s update.
